Reach Truck
The reach truck (often called just reach, or tier) operator training course will give you the skills to operate the truck safely and efficiently, to carry out a pre-use inspection and will give you the ability to recall the causes of instability of the truck and loads. The course is largely practical in nature and there will be no more than 3 people on the course to ensure you have enough time on the truck.
The course covers: lift truck controls and instruments, starting, moving, stopping and steering the truck, operation of hydraulic controls, battery care, pre use inspection, weight assessment, handling laden and unladen pallets, driving on/off ramps and inclines, stacking and de-stacking - free standing and in racking; plus lift truck stability and the operators' safety code.
